"Cat Catalani discusses and performs popular songs that throughout recent history, have united the hearts of many times of war and times of peace: "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," "When Johnny Comes Marching Home," "Tenting on the Old Campground," and from Ireland, "Johnny I Hardly Know Ye."  The American Civil War, World Wars I and II and the vietnam War produced songs about deeply felt subjects that reflect the times as well as the outlook of individual composers."
