Preserving the Harvest --presentation by garden coach Mark Lyons on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.

Your garden has yielded a bumper crop of fruits and vegetables—and your friends and neighbors can't take any more. So what are you going to do with the surplus? Join us on Monday, July 16 at 6:30 p.m. for a class taught by garden coach Mark Lyons that will review a number of ways that can be used to preserve the harvest through the winter, and maybe even beyond. It will cover canning, freezing, dehydrating, and winter storage techniques.

Free and open to all ages but registration is REQUIRED. Call the library at 815-943-4671 if you have any question or to register. Summer Reading Club participants will earn an extra raffle ticket for attending this event!
