Capital Plan—Visioning and Needs Assessment Report

The Harvard Diggins Library recently completed a capital plan project to determine how to enhance and maintain the physical facility in a manner that supports the changing needs of library users. Project goals included identifying facility maintenance requirements, with time frames and costs, for all aspects of the building and grounds, and identifying ways the library could adapt its facility and services to meet the evolving needs of today’s library user. The City Library Board and Diggins Trust Board worked jointly to review and approve the reports.

The Capital Plan report reflects the facility maintenance needs forecast for the next five to ten years. The Visioning and Needs Assessment Report provides recommendations for enhancing the facility and service to better serve the community. Both reports are advisory at this time.
