CANCELED Beginner’s Poetry Workshop

Beginners are welcome to join us at the Library for a free poetry workshop with Do Art Productions who will bring energy and a dynamic perspective to poetry.  This workshop will focus on short free verse and Haiku poems and will emphasize the awareness of the moment when not only writing poetry, but experiencing poetry: when you’re in nature to feel the wind, to see the sun, to smell the grass.  Instructor Gerald Moffitt will also bring a typewriter for those who are willing, to try and type a free verse poem in the moment.  Learn the value of poetry, particularly in moments when regular words are just not enough.

This workshop is geared towards an adult audience but older youth are welcome to join us to learn and participate.
