Big Read Book Discussion: Heartland by Sarah Smarsh

Harvard Diggins Library joins several Illinois libraries for a program sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and Illinois Humanities to discuss two books for this year’s theme of ‘Reconsidering the American Dream’.  The first book is ‘Heartland: A Memoir of Working Hard and Being Broke in the Richest Country on Earth’ by Sarah Smarsh.  Participants are invited to join the concluding discussion on Wednesday, January 10 at 6PM which will be held at the Harvard Historical Museum, 308 N. Hart Blvd, Harvard.  Location of the discussion will be announced soon.  Registration is required.  Copies of ‘Heartland’ are available for checkout at the Library.  For more information, call 815-943-4671.
