Digital Library Research
November 18, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
***THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW REGISTRATION***
Your library has a wealth of free resources for doing historical research… on your family, your house, local history, and more. This presentation with returning guest speaker Michael Rehberg of Black Point Estate/Wisconsin Historical Society will explore the many resources available with your library card. Learn how to do genealogical family research, research old newspapers for stories about your family, plus learn how to locate historical documents like postcards, maps, atlases, and plat books. We’ll even explore the resources publicly available from other libraries, too, including The Library of Congress and University of Wisconsin’s Digital Library. This seminar can get you started on almost any historical topic that you are curious about.
This session is FREE and open to the public – no library card is required (but you might want to sign up for one after!) All ages welcome. Please fill out the form below to sign up.
