Teen Book Tasting

Every year, there are hundreds of attempts to remove books from schools and libraries.  Kick off Banned and Challenged Books Week with this book tasting that will celebrate your freedom to read and your right to choose.  Explore books like Drama, Harry Potter, and The Giver.  Fight censorship, read a banned or challenged book, learn about intellectual freedom, and have some tasty snacks at this event.  Open to students in 6th – 12th grades.  Email teenservices@harvard-diggins.org to register.  For more information, call 815-943-4671.
