Uncommon Facts About Common Birds: An Evening with Naturalist, Photographer, and Author Stan Tekiela

FreeNaturalist and wildlife photographer Stan Tekiela will share fascinating facts about some of the birds people love to hate along with some of the more common birds in our yards such as the European Starling, American Crow, and others. You will never look at these birds the same way ever again.
Stan Tekiela is the originator of the popular state-specific field guides such as Birds of Illinois Field Guide and Trees of Illinois Field Guide as well as nature appreciation books for all ages. As an active professional naturalist for more than 40 years, Stan studies and photographs wildlife throughout the United States. He is also a well-known columnist and radio personality whose work appears in over 20 newspapers and is broadcast on a number of Midwest radio stations.
This free event will be held at the McHenry County College Leucht Auditorium. Copies of Stan’s books will be available for purchase and signing at the event courtesy of Read Between the Lynes bookstore of Woodstock. Registration is required as seating is limited.
