American Vacation: 12,000 Miles Into the Wild West

Author, presenter, and Crystal Lake resident Raluca Barbu shares stories from the perspective of a writer from an ex-communist country, Romania, who experiences the great outdoors of the emblematic American West after having hiked up and down its trails. Her fifth published book, American Vacation: 12,000 Miles into the Wild West, is an homage to the great American outdoors and a read that reminds Americans of their incredibly lucky chance to live among some of the most unearthly, natural wonders of this world.  Meet Raluca in-person and hear her story at Harvard Diggins Library on Monday June 27 at 6:30pm. Copies of her book will be available to purchase during a book signing following the program. Registration is required to participate.
