The 1984-85 Harvard Hornets basketball team won 27 games in a row, and finished 29-3, 4th in the IHSA State. Join us at this special reunion with guest speakers, former coach Bruce Firchau, assistant coach Mark Dion, players Tom King, Jay Jones, and more. Hear the stories of how they made their way to the final four in the IHSA state. From playing Marengo on what Coach Firchau calls the “coldest day in human history”, to the “legendary” South Beloit game that is still talked about today, and the reception back home in Harvard. And what exactly is the “jump rope” story? You won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear these legends from our locals.

Lead presenter Bruce Firchau is currently the IBCA Hall of Fame Selection Chairman and the Basketball Museum of Illinois Chairman. He is the recipient of the A-E-O Meyer-Harte Award and the 2022 Chuck Rolinski Lifetime Achievement Award.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required in advance to attend. To sign up, please fill out the form below.
