Skywatching With Your Eyes

June 23, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

So much observation of our daytime and nighttime skies can be done without a telescope. This presentation will focus on an overview of celestial observations you can do with just your eyes, including moon phases, eclipses, planets, stars, and much more in a session suited to an astronomy novice. Presented by Michelle Nichols, Director of Public Observing at the Adler Planetarium. This event is part of our NASA@ My Library program schedule and our Summer Reading Club 2022 “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” program schedule. All ages are welcome to attend. Free and open to the public. Masks must be worn according to current guidelines. Registration is required. To sign up, please call 815-943-4671.
